1. Who We Are

TranslateVision is a WordPress translation plugin and SaaS platform operated by Manta Vision Labs (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For privacy inquiries, contact us at hello@translatevision.com.

2. What Data We Collect

• Account information: Name, email address, and agency name when you sign up or apply for the pilot program.
• Purchase information: Payment details are processed securely through Stripe. We store your license key, plan type, and billing status.
• Support requests: Any information you provide when contacting us for support.
• Usage data: Anonymous page count and API call statistics reported by the plugin for your dashboard.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To deliver your license key and manage your subscription
• To provide customer support
• To send product updates and important notifications
• To improve our products and services

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Article 6)

• Contract performance: Processing your account, license, and payment data is necessary to deliver the service you purchased.
• Consent: Optional analytics (PostHog) are only activated after you accept cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies.
• Legitimate interest: We use anonymized, aggregated usage statistics to improve the product. This processing is proportionate and does not override your rights.

4. How Translations Work

When using the plugin with your own API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google), your content is sent directly from your WordPress site to the AI provider you selected. We do not see, store, or process your website content in this mode.

When using TranslateVision Credits (our built-in translation option), your content is sent from your WordPress site to our server, which proxies the request to Google Gemini on your behalf. In this mode, your content passes through our server transiently to perform the translation but is not stored or logged. The plugin does not collect visitor data in either mode.

5. Third-Party Services

When using the plugin, your content is sent to the AI provider you choose. Please review their privacy policies:

We also use the following services for platform operations:

• Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Sentry — Error tracking and performance monitoring. Sentry may receive technical error data including stack traces and request metadata (no personal content). Sentry Privacy Policy

6. Data Retention

• Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
• License and billing data: Retained for 7 years after subscription ends (tax/legal obligations).
• Usage reports: Retained for 12 months, then automatically purged.
• Support correspondence: Retained for 24 months after last contact.
• Error logs (Sentry): Automatically deleted after 90 days.

You can request immediate deletion of your data at any time from your dashboard settings or by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access: Obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data. You can delete your account from your dashboard settings.
• Right to data portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON). You can export your data from your dashboard settings.
• Right to restrict processing: Request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
• Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
• Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you are in the EU, you can find your local authority at edpb.europa.eu.
• Opt out of marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the link in any email.
